“Authenticity Matters”

Welcome to my blog!

I spend much of my professional life in quiet conversation behind closed doors. Off the clock, I often spend time in the theater or talking about theater with friends and family. This blog is a place for me to amplify my voice and give a wider audience a chance to hear my thoughts about the intersections of identity, values, sex, relationships, therapy, and theater.

Authenticity is a guiding principle of my life, a message I share widely and often with my clients. Living an authentic life means you are actualizing your values as you move toward your goals. It is the opposite of the closet. The mask is off. You present your true self to the world. Authenticity is a process of becoming, not a destination to be reached. I am moving toward it each day, and want to support you in doing the same. I can’t think of anything that matters more than that.

You can expect future posts to include my perspectives on therapy, queer identities, sex, relationships, theater and other vital matters. My first post is part of my Queer Curtain Calls series in which I explore how theater heals my queer heart in hopes that it can heal yours as well.

Welcome! Check back often. I’m interested in creating a space for dialogue and conversation, so leave a comment when you feel so moved. I look forward to the exploration and conversations that lie ahead!
